MISCANTHUS sinensis 'Strictus'

This is the same species as 'Silverfeather' but the cultivars are not at all the same in appearance. 'Strictus' means 'upright' in Latin, and that is how this grass grows. It is a vertical accent with very little droopiness about it. The leaves have horizontal striping up and down their length -- another difference. Finally, 'Strictus' has less showy flowers. They arrive later, if at all, and they are a dull, tan hue.
